Wedding Registry

Well, It is about FINALLY time I got back in here to address our Wedding registry. Everyone has asked where Kimmer and I were registered - the answer is....Target and Bed,Bath, And Beyond.

I wanted to register at Chevrolet for a Brand new Camaro. After that, Kimmer slapped me upside the back of my head, so here we are. Target and BB&B.

Nevertheless - I had a blast sorting through everything while at Bed Bath and Beyond. and Target. Kimmer threatened to take the Scanner away from me on more than one occasion as I was a scanning fool. I had a blast!!!! We will definitely appreciate anything you might be able to help us out with - I just had fun scanning whatever.

Anyway - we look forward to having you at our wedding and reception. I personally Can Not Wait to be able to tell everyone that my baby Kimmer is my Wife!!!

Family weekend

Well, Kimmer is gone to bed and I am sitting here reflecting on the past weekend in my NEW living room. We just got done with a crazy weekend!!! It started Thursday night. My dad and I went to the Titans game and then went out for a few drinks downtown after. Fri was filled with work and buying more stuff from Lowe's and Home Depot!!! We got a lot accomplished. Fri night was filled with a lot of work and it was capped off with me prepping my shoulders for a big long slow smoking on my BBQ pit.

Sat was filled with more going to the store to buy more food, and things for the house but we frantically got things in order for the most part. It was a little strenuous as Sun was the day when both of our families were meeting for the first time. So we were going for it all day long and as the night started closing in, I was just getting to work. I had dedicated myself to staying up all night and smoking these three Pork Shoulders. While others were going to bed, I was just getting going. Dad and I were putting together furniture and getting things situated upstairs until 2 when I FINALLY got him to bed. the next 5 hours were miserable. I was good for a little bit, but then started fading quickly. I DID manage to stay up until the sun was starting to rise in order to check my food one more time. They were looking and smelling delicious!!! About 745, I had to rest, I threw another chunk of Hickory on the pit and came in to lay down for "2 hours".... After setting my alarm, I was awakened by Kimmer mentioning something about my Smoker and I mumbled something. I then snapped awake to realize it was 11:15!!! An hour and a half later than I had planned. I tore out of bed and got to my pit and checked. It was looking AMAZING! I had to pull it all off and get it in the oven for an hour to finish it.

After that, it was yard work time as Kimmer and Dad finished the minor touch ups inside. I have to say that Kimmer aranged stuff Very good inside. It really looks good! Anyway - back to Sun. It was rush rush rush up until people arriving. I was still doing yardwork when the rest of my fam arrived and were getting in the shower when Kimmer's fam arrived. Anyway, we got stuff going and everyone hit it off greatly! It was nice to see everyone click so nicely. We honestly couldn't have asked for anything better. the Food turned out amazing. The deserts everyone brought were almost as good! Anyway, we took a great family picture with everyone from both sides SECONDS before the bottom dropped out on a storm that was rolling in. It is included below. I tell you - I wouldn't have done anything different this weekend. Getting to see everyone together was awesome. Now there won't be any awkward getting to know each other conversations at the wedding. They will be able to pick it right up where we left off.

Today was great as well, we hung with my fam for a while until they headed out then we decided it was time to Finally go register for our wedding. All I can say right now is it was a awesome time, however greatly draining. More to follow on that later....

Official Date!!!!

November the 14th is our special date. Please mark your calendars. There was some slight confusion so we wanted to let you know!

Location Location Location...

Well, we have FINALLY found our location for not only the wedding but Reception as well. After spending a few weeks looking and visiting a few places, we have decided upon a Lutheran Church located downtown Nashville. We were looking at getting married at the Catholic Cathedral downtown but they were pretty booked up, so therefore we have found a "Catholic Light" church that is similar. It is called the First Lutheran Church. It is located downtown Nashville off of 8th Ave.

We are looking forward to joining our lives together on the 14th of November 2oo9 in this church. It will be a very special time in both of our lives, followed by an even better time - THE RECEPTION!!! We found a location near Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Opry Mills. It is called the Music Valley Event Center. For some of you - you will remember the location as the old Outlet mall that was located near the Opryland Theme park.

We have had Numerous people who have volunteered to help us out and we have to say a HUGE thank you to all those who have. You are making My life a heck of a lot easier. Kimmer hasn't really turned into the complete "Bridezilla" thanks to you all. You Rock!!!

Be ready for a great time. In the mean time Kimmer is still planning wedding stuff and I am working on this dang house. Whoever I spoke with about the following listen up:

1.) Buying a house.
2.) Buying an Engagement Ring.
3.) Asking my amazing Girlfriend to marry me.

Why in the heck did you not sit me down and ask me what the %$#& I was thinking of???!!! it has been crazy trying to balance the house and trying to get ready for a wedding.

I guess that is the latest update. We will keep you all updated as the days go on and I PROMISE to update this a little better in the next few months!

Engagement Video (check your speakers)

Just a little preview of our amazing week at the beach together. So many of you wanted to know details of how he proposed so I thought along with it I would attach the video.

Details: On Wednesday July, 29 we took a walk on the beach following a fabulous dinner that Casey prepared for his family and I of good ole spaghetti! He was so sweet and took me on a long blissful stroll along the water's edge. Finally when we reached his proposal destination point he got down on one knee and nervously asked me to marry him as I got all teary eyed. It was perfect and so sweet. For all of you that know me, you know I love the beach so he couldn't have chosen a better spot. I know some of you have not gotten to meet this fabulous fiance of mine so I thought I would send out this video to show you what a fantastic man I have in my life. I wanted to let all my wonderful friends and family share in this exciting time.

FYI Let me just say that maybe I needed to know it was going to be a proposal week at the beach so that every picture I had would not be in a bikini with no makeup. Wow gotta love those! So here is me unfortunately in all my non wearing make up, unprepared bikini body glory :-) I hope you all enjoy. I am so happy!

First Blog

Well, we have been engaged for a week and a half and so far the planning is starting to roll. We are location hunting and it is turning out harder than I thought. I thought this was going to be a piece of cake. (All my married folks out there - STOP LAUGHING)!!! I tell you - trying to work on a house and plan a wedding is going to be interesting. On top of this - I have my buddies wanting to know what weekend we want to do our bachelor party. It is crazy. But, we are making slow progress, trying to find ways here and there to cut some costs. It should be a great time no matter what as long as our friends and family are there to celebrate with us. Thanks for stopping by! Tentatively - plan for November the 14th. No confirmation yet - but we will let you all know!
